Pro Radio Music Player: added “autoplay” feature
Since the autoplay was banned back in 2018 by any browser, we’ve received a consistent number of requests for this feature. After quite some struggle, we’ve finally found a workaround to “emulate” the old autoplay. One note: that’s not a true autoplay like it was back then, so actually it doesn’t start on the page opening, but on the first click.
The difference is that you don’t need to click the play button to start the music: it will start as soon as you click on anything in the page. So it’s kind of an autoplay emulation, that will for sure grow your listeners.
For the moment this feature is only available in desktop, due to higher restrictions on the mobile devices.
How to enable autoplay on your radio station website:
- Update the player from Pro Radio Admin screen in your WordPress dashboard
- On the left menu click Pro Radio Music Player
- Enbable the option “Autoplay any user”
- Save and remember to clear your website cache
Radio Shows Slider: Fix!
The “now on air” text which was appearing on any show, on certain specific types of weekly schedules, has been fixed with a better shows recognition.
The dropdown menu tree in the Off Canvas sidebar, available both in desktop and mobile, has been significantly improved: it’s now faster and more reliable, and provides a solid performance across any device. Not only it’s faster and lighter, but solves a glitch causing menu items to be invisible on certain iOS devices.
2 New Radio Demos added to the list
We added 2 new demos to the list: a bold and bright pop music demo with a vibrant and modern tone, and a powerful and engaging Rock and Grunge demo with tons of new Elementor layouts and stylings.
WooCommerce plugins compatibility update
Pro Radio is up-to-date for compatibility with the latest WooCommerce version. - Backup your site
- Click Pro Radio Admin
- Update the theme
- Click “Install and Update plugins” and udpate any plugin in the list
