The Pro Radio 7.0 update is here, bringing groundbreaking features and game-changing improvements to your radio station website! Pro Radio Theme Upgrades

The Pro Radio WordPress Theme has received significant updates, particularly in the realm of podcasting. Three new Podcast Archive templates have been introduced:

• Archive Podcast Horizontal
• Archive Podcast Small
• Archive Podcast Sidebar

The single podcast template has also been upgraded, providing more flexibility with options to:

• Display a sidebar
• Enable or disable the featured image for individual podcast episodes

This option was necessary because while featured images for posts are typically horizontal, podcast cover art is often square, which could appear too tall on some websites.

Additionally, the Podcast Filters taxonomy has been renamed to Podcast Series Filter for better clarity and standardization.

These updates work in synergy with the new Series Widget for Elementor, allowing you to display a grid of Podcast Series based on the “Series Filters.”

 

Pro Radio Elementor Widgets Updates

The new Pro Radio Elementor Widgets plugin, now at version 7, is the core of this update. With around 50 custom Elementor widgets for radio stations, it has been significantly improved, adding new widgets and features based on valuable customer feedback.

New Category Filters

A brand-new filter options panel has been added to several Elementor widgets, including:

• Post or Pages Grid
• Post List
• Post Hero
• Post Inline
• Post Masonry
• Post Cards
• Event Lists
• Radio Channels Grid

This feature enables a customizable list of filters that automatically match the taxonomy of the selected post type, significantly improving navigation and user experience. The new system is 90% more efficient than the previous function.

 

New Pagination Options

All widgets with pagination, including post grids, podcast grids, radio grids, and event lists, have been enhanced with:

• A new **Previous and Next** button option
• Performance improvements using updated code standards from Typify and WpCaster Pro, reducing server CPU and memory usage

New Podcast Grid Widget

This versatile widget allows you to display podcast episodes on Elementor pages with multiple design options, customizable column numbers, and various pagination styles. With the rise of Podybot, our podcast importer plugin, this improvement enhances the podcasting experience for radio stations.

New Series Grid Widget

Designed to make it easier for visitors to find their favorite shows, this widget displays a grid of Podcast Series Filters, improving accessibility and engagement.

New Custom Slideshow Widget

The new Custom Slideshow Widget lets you create a slideshow with custom images, links, titles, and buttons—eliminating the need for third-party plugins.

Additional Design and Performance Enhancements

Improved Form Design Options

Since Pro Radio 7.0, you can now customize the Contact Form 7 Widget and the Dedications Widget, adjusting input colors, padding, and border radius for an optimal design experience.

Shadow Control

We’ve added shadow control for post grids, event lists, and post cards, allowing fine-tuned visual enhancements such as depth effects and inner gradients.

Post Slideshow: Background Overlay

Both the Post Slideshow Widget and the Custom Slideshow Widget now include a background overlay feature, providing more design flexibility.

Shows Schedule Width Adjustment

A new Max Width control has been introduced, extending the schedule widget width from 1200px to 1330px for better display on different screen sizes.

The Podybot podcast importer, included for free with Pro Radio, has been updated to fix an issue with deleting podcast feeds. You can now easily manage your podcast archive with improved feed deletion and import functionalities.
