MP3 / AAC audio stream
The player can reproduce any mp3 or aac stream or file: copy and paste the link in the radio channel to link it to the website player. It takes 3 seconds!
If you also want to display the song titles and authors, or display the artwork of the album, you can configure your favorite radio feed among the following supported ones:
Text feed
Many customized streaming servers, or desktop streaming solutions, allow to upload a simple text containing artist and title to an online link. Our player can be integrated with this type of feed easily, and can display the information in the player or any part of the apge using Elementor, like for any other streaming format. Our player will optionally take care of fetching and publishing the artwork of the current song.
ICY Metadata
The ICY metadata is the first ever system to include a song title in a stream. The information travels along the same audio stream, and is contained in the headers of the streaming data. Our player can read and extract artist and title from the ICY metadata of your stream, display them in the website, and you can use the iTunes API to find and display the artwork of the album. This method is very antique (18+ years old!) so is not the most efficient, anyhow, in case you need, it is here.
Shoutcast
Basically the most popular streaming format out there, Shoutcast V2 is nowadays a standard. Our streaming player is compatible with any modern popular shoutcast format and can display the title and artist by extracting the data from your Shoutcast XML or JSON feed. And, in case you have a modern Shoutcast link with an SSL proxy, no problem, it’s even easier! Just copy and paste the streaming link and set the channel to Auto, our player will do the rest!
Icecast
Another super popular format out there is Icecast. The main difference between Icecast and Shoutcast is in the structure, since Icecast uses different mount points instead of port numbers, for different channels. This guarantees a wider compatibility with your website, because it uses SSL on a standard port (443) instead of custom ports. It’s easier to configure and is available across basically every streaming platform or streaming software. Another noticeable Icecast peculiarity is the higher pre-buffer time, which is by default set to 6 seconds. This means that the player will require to wait 6 seconds before starting to play some music, but if you manage your own server, this can be tweaked to a more modern parameter, like 3 seconds or less.
Radio.co
The streaming provider radio.co is one of our favorites: extremely robust and professional, offers an incredibly stable service at affordable (but not cheapest) prices. Their panel is easy to use, and the support is quick and friendly. Our theme integrates seamlessly with radio.co to play the music, display the song data, and eventually extract also the album artwork if available.
Airtime Pro
Airtime Pro by Sourcefabric is a very popular streaming platform. It allows both live streaming and auto dj like any other popular service, and offers different plans depending on your needs. Radionomy
Radionomy is now merged with Shoutcast.com, but if you still have one of the old accounts, it will work seamlessly with our player. The new Radionomy website basically redirects to Shoutcast.com, which in our opinion is not the optimal choice in terms of cost/benefits.
Live365
Live365 is pretty unique, because it features an proper licensing system and geoblocking limitation. This streaming provider is very popular, especially in the United States, and has different plans. For a proper full integration you need a PRO account, which allows to add the streaming source directly to your website, instead of using the popup player. RadioKing
RadioKing is a super popular streaming provider worldwide, and used by many of our customers, since it offers both streaming services and app integrations.
