Pro Radio theme for WordPress V. 4.0.0 [2023 05 20]
IMPORTANT RELEASE NOTES:
The customizer has been upgraded and improved, allowing faster and better customizations and performance.
Lots of options have been added for menu and buttons customizations.
When upgrading some color options may require to be set again. In particular, the button colors have been improved and minor issues with gradients have been fixed.
You can update the colors of your buttons in:
- appearance > customize > layout and design > buttons
- appearance > customize > layout and design > logo and menu bars > call to action button
The button gradient is now based on 2 colors instead of 3 because this allows a smooth color transition while maintaining the gradient. Also, the customizer will change color in real time without refreshing the page. The hover effect is now improved for gradients. The gradient of the button backgrounds will NOT override the colors of the call to action which can be set independently.
You may need to set again the button color, but this means a great overall performance and usability, so it was worth the change.

A quick note about this update:
The Pro Radio theme version 2.1.0.2 is a micro-patch for the song feed of certain server links.
To work correctly, this new version requires as well the Pro Radio Player version PR.3.9.3
In the previous version of the player, certain radio stream URLs were recognized as modern HTTPS V2 Shoutcast XML feeds, while this information was unavailable or unaccessible.
After updating theme and plugins, for any radio having troubles displaying the song titles, there is now a new option for the Server Type: Icy Metadata.
If the Type Automatic is not working for your radio, please try switching to ICY metadata, this will force the usage of the ICY source.
This server type is not recommended if other text feeds are available, since it uses far more CPU to read the song titles.

Please make sure to backup your website first, and update every required plugin.
1. MEDIA FILES IN CUSTOM TYPES ARE NOW STORED BY ID
Podcast and chart mp3 files will be (from now on) stored as ID and not as file URL. This allows easier site migration.
Retro compatibility will ensure all of your existing charts and podcasts will still work fine.
To make sure both new and old podcasts and charts work fine, please update any plugin.
2. CORE FUNCTIONS FOR CUSTOM TYPES HAVE BEEN UPDATED
In some files the name of the custom type functions has been updated and the custom fields have been moved inside of the custom type function. This ensures higher compatibility, is more correct and allows chil dtheme override.
If you did changes to the source code or created cusotm variants of the functions, please find the details of “MODIFIED” below.
3. ADDED CUSTOM HEADER IMAGE
Now you can set a custom background for the header of your contents, different from the featured image.
